2009 GRANTS INCREASE MOMENTUM FOR PLGA RESEARCH!
With the help of thousands of fundraising families from around the world, the PLGA Foundation was able to distribute funds for 6 new grants in 2009. These grants represent a breakthrough in the scientific community as they 'push the envelope' with respect to collaborative efforts between institutions and investigators, unprecedented in PLGA history. Two international conferences comprised of multi-disciplinary groups of clinicians and researchers were among the grant recipients. And two of new projects are direct results of those meetings.
We applaud our grant recipients for their progressive thinking that these collaborative efforts require and look forward to supporting many more similar initiatives in 2010.
