Boston University's '5K for PLGA Run'

Who: Boston University and Everyone Else are invited to run, walk, or donate!

What: A 5K (3.1 miles)

Where: B.U. Sailing Pavilion on the Charles River Esplanade

12pm: 5k Race begins
    1pm: Post race party at Student Activities Center Gym

History:

On Saturday, September 30, 2006 the first ever BU 5K for PLGA was held on the Charles River Esplanade.   About 200 Boston University students and friends gathered early Saturday for a 5-kilometer run and fundraiser organized by the BU chapter of FightJPA, raising $26,593 for research of juvenile pilocytic astrocytoma, the most common form of childhood brain tumor. This past year, the club was reactivated and is currently in the process of organizing a 2nd race set for Sunday, April 25, 2010.
