American Express has embarked with an innovative philanthropic project, which allows American Express card members to choose the recipients of $2.5 million.  PROJECT BRAIN CHILD* has been selected as one of 25 (from over 1200 possible) projects currently under consideration for funding.

YOUR vote can help accelerate the pace of critical research for treating children with brain cancer.

*Brain cancer is the leading cause of solid tumor death in children.  Current drug/surgical treatments are ineffective, highly toxic and cause debilitating, permanent side effects.  Project Brain Child will jump-start the development of a worldwide children’s genomic brain tumor registry.  This registry cold help spare children the outdated, toxic, punishing AND ineffective treatments that they must now endure, allowing researchers to target existing ‘smart’ drugs to specific brain tumors.  Your vote could save children’s lives AND provide a breakthrough for both children’s and adult’s cancer research.
